Kano state governor, Dr. Umar Ganduje has reiterated his continuous support for FADAMA. He stated that his administration will continue to fulfill legal and financial requirement to support FADAMA 3 project in the state.
Governor Ganduje who was represented by the Deputy Governor Dr. Bashiru Yusuf Gauna at the 3rd national developing project for additional finance highlighted the positive impacts of FADAMA in the state.
He stated that FADAMA has helped curb the high rate of poverty in the rural area. It led to the construction of roads In Tudun Wada, Garko, Garun Malam and Bakunre which has also been instrumental in easing transportation of produce from the rural area to the urban area and other needed locations.
FADAMA 3 project is a collaboration between the government, the World Bank and 19 states in Nigeria to empower farmers. The project is to help boost the agricultural sector with its present main focus on rice, tomatoes and sorghum.
