Eight people including a baby have died in a fire outbreak at an 8-storey building in South western Paris as disclosed by fire service officials.
Nearly 30 people including 6 firefighters were injured while 1 person is reportedly in a critical condition.
50 people were evacuated by ladders from the blaze in the upmarket 16th arondicement. The Paris Prosecutors says that it may have been deliberately started.
The police have detained a female suspect in the fire spreads across the 2 floors of the 1970’s building in Olanzo’s street shortly after 1 gmt forcing some residents to scramble onto nearby rooftop to escape the flames and smoke.
